Daddy's Family Came to Visit

 Dave's sister is home from Ft. McMurray. Dawn doesn't get home a lot. It is so nice to see her again, her husband Richard and girls Jenna and Abby. They were so excited to meet Jane and see all the boys again. We were all so excited to get together with everyone, have a meal and catch up. We wish they were closer, that the girls could get to know Jane and she could play with her cousins. But, unfortunately, they are not. We have to make the best of the visits.

Jane had a a big nap while we ate. She wasn't too receptive to pictures when she got up! It was nice to see everyone. Nanny and Poppy Brentnall came, Uncle Bren, Paula, Logan and Marcus.

Storytime-Cuddletime

This little girl is all about the books.

She can sit in your lap forever while you read to her, ask her questions and point things out to her.

I bought these sweet little pj's at the Pearl Market in Beijing.

Sweet Baby Girl

 Sweet as can be, loves to cuddle. Melts my heart when she says"Oh mom, oh mom, ahh"

In a few days we will celebrate Forever Family day, the day we met Jane for the first time and she came into our lives forever.

I can honestly say, going to China, adopting Jane has been the best decision we have ever made.

 She has filled us to the brim with love and laughter.

We love her so.

It's Jane's first Halloween.

I had to get this little ladybug outfit when I saw it.

Ladybugs are known as a symbol of good luck in the Chinese community.

 In China adoption, it is considered a sign that a referral is near when the adoptive parent sees one.

  The ladybug symbol for me is a sweet, fun elment that reminds me of my journey for Jane.

 Mom has me all dressed up for playgroup Halloween party

 I am content to stay home and draw.

Wordless Wednesday-Bath and Daddy Cuddles

Bubbles, bubbles, I just love BUBBLES!

After playgroup we decided to stay outside. It was a lovely fall day. A great opportunity to check out the fall colors. Red , green and yellow, right outside our door. I picked a leaf from each tree and told her red, green, yellow. It was so cute when she tried to repeat what I said, "red, gee,low" Her speech is really improved since her ears were cleaned out. She is more vocal and trying new words.

 

Jane found some bubbles that had been left outside. It was a perfect day. There was no wind and the grass was damp. The bubbles just landed and sat there. She had a blast chasing them , trying to catch them and bursting them. 

She is such a happy little girl

Sleeping Beauty

How do you go from having a 2 1/2 to 3 hour nap to no nap? Apparently, you don't! Typically, Jane goes to nappy land around 1:30 . This past week she is not interested in that anymore. She tries to keep going but as you can see she crashes. She managed to survive until about 3:30!

Here she is with her"Ba" She just got right up in Jacob's arms and fell asleep. Too sweet!

 And here she is with neighbour Nina after a long day with no nappy. Crash and burn out!
