The last Monday before May 25 is for most Canadians, the unofficial beginning of summer. It is officially a federal holiday in honour of Queen Victoria. Campers get their trailers out, de-winterize them, stock them with too much food and beer and head out to their favorite camping spot. Some crazy Canucks even pitch a tent. It has snowed in Newfoundland many a May 24th weekend. We, of course, headed to our cottage.

We all had a great weekend with lots of friends around. The weather was, of course , lovely on the last day!! Who would have guessed!!
Your new camera is taking some great shots...
ReplyDeleteI would agree that a cabin is much better than a tent... especially on the May long weekend.
Wow, Jane is getting so big! I'm sure she must have lots of scrapes and bruises trying to keep up to her big brothers!
