Spring in my Step

We are trying to get out every day that we can. Spring here is awful. There is still a bitter chill in the air. Most days the wind is howling. There are a lot of foggy, rain filled days.
Today it is lovely!
Always the adventurer.

The weather sucks but it is never a bad day with a sucker in hand!

It is what it is!

My little asian flower next to my Forsynthia-a deciduous flowering shrub native to Eastern Asian.
This shrub does not last long but it is a beauty...just like my little girl!

It's the 24th of May!

The last Monday before May 25 is for most Canadians, the unofficial beginning of summer. It is officially a federal holiday in honour of Queen Victoria. Campers get their trailers out, de-winterize them, stock them with too much food and beer and head out to their favorite camping spot. Some crazy Canucks even pitch a tent. It has snowed in Newfoundland many a May 24th weekend. We, of course, headed to our cottage.

Scratch on the eye already!!

Favorite toys!!

Peek a Boo!!

I see U

Peek a Booing with Jane!
We all had a great weekend with lots of friends around. The weather was, of course , lovely on the last day!! Who would have guessed!!

Outside Girl

Cleaning, washing, tidying,cooking....it is endless at my house.
I am not complaining, I am just stating it as it is.
I think these things are necessary and just have to be done, but I also think that getting outside to throw rocks in the water, go for a stroll or to just plain play is more important.
I waited 5 years to get this precious little girl.

When she goes to the door to go outside, if at all possible, we are going.

As I said before, cleaning, washing, tidying,cooking....it is endless at my house.
Playing with me little girlie...way more important!

Time Machine

“We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams.”

Jeremy Irons

This takes me back! As a little girl, I loved it when my dad hoisted me up in his old wheelbarrow and took me all around our garden for a ride.

I remember it's plywood bottom and how carefully he steadied it as he pushed it along, watching me closely, afraid I would fall out. I loved it! It is a wonderful childhood memory.

Miss Jane loved it too! She had several rides and just about feel asleep in there.
I am sure this will not be her last ride in the wheelbarrow.
I hope it to be one of her fond memories, just as it is mine
