Adoption Day!

Today started early. Jane went to sleep at 7:30 and woke at 3:30. 7 hours!! What a girlie! Then she had a bottle and playtime with mommy and daddy. We met our guide at 9 am in the lobby. We went back to the adoption center to formally adopt Jane. We were sent to 4 different rooms. In the first room was the lady who had passed Jane to me. Then it was off for a picture of Dave, Jane and I. Next we had to go a room that took care of her passport. Finally, a room that was for heritage families, our guide said he wanted a family picture and maybe we would come back some day. All these officials were given gifts. Finally, a notary notarized everything and our guide said “Congratulations, you are new parents. She is yours.”

When we got back to the hotel, it was nappy time. After this, we all walked around the block. Jane loves her Ergo carrier. She would look up at me and grin and smile and just delight in the attention. Maybe tomorrow I will let daddy carry her.Well, the 4 boys drew quite a crowd. Locals could not believe 4 of them were mine. They were all very pleased with our family unit. I did a little shopping and then we went to a chinese/western restaurant. We are all very jet lagged but life is good!
